What is Issue Spotting (a.k.a. the I in IRAC)?

Answer

It occurs when a student uses the facts in a fact pattern to trigger a discussion of the relevant law during an exam.  If a student misses an issue, it means they won't state the rule, apply it, or get the points associated with those steps.
